Publication Policy

The Commonwealth Journal of Law and Governance (CJLG) is committed to publishing original, rigorous, and ethically responsible scholarship.

The journal accepts manuscripts that make meaningful contributions to legal and governance scholarship and that fall within the journal's stated scope.

Originality

Manuscripts must be original and must not have been published previously or be under simultaneous consideration elsewhere.

Research Integrity

Authors are expected to present their research honestly and accurately. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of data, and other forms of academic misconduct are unacceptable.

Multiple or Duplicate Publication

Authors should not submit substantially identical manuscripts to multiple journals or publish the same research in multiple outlets without appropriate justification and disclosure.

Corrections

Where significant errors are identified after publication, the journal may publish an appropriate correction, erratum, corrigendum, or other editorial notice.

Retraction

Where serious problems involving research integrity, plagiarism, fraudulent data, or other forms of misconduct are identified, the journal may retract a published article in accordance with appropriate scholarly practice.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based primarily on scholarly quality, relevance, originality, and ethical standards and should not be influenced by inappropriate commercial or personal considerations.
