Publishing Ethics Statement

The Commonwealth Journal of Law and Governance (CJLG) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, research integrity, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication.

Authors

Authors are expected to submit original work, provide accurate information, properly acknowledge sources, and ensure that all listed authors have made appropriate contributions to the research.

Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and obtain appropriate ethical approval where required.

Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts fairly and objectively. Editorial decisions should be based on scholarly quality, relevance, originality, and ethical considerations.

Editors must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and should avoid conflicts of interest in the editorial process.

Reviewers

Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and confidential assessments of manuscripts.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited where appropriate and should disclose any potential conflict of interest that may affect their assessment.

Research Integrity

The journal does not tolerate:

• Plagiarism
• Fabrication
• Falsification
• Duplicate publication
• Manipulation of research findings
• Improper authorship
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest
• Other forms of academic misconduct

Where concerns arise, the journal may investigate and take appropriate corrective action to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
