Peer Review Process

JHEG operates a peer-review system designed to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and scientific integrity of published research.

Initial Editorial Assessment

All submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the editorial team to determine whether they:

• Fall within the journal's scope.
• Meet basic scholarly and formatting requirements.
• Demonstrate sufficient originality and academic quality.
• Comply with the journal's ethical and publication requirements.

Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be returned to authors or declined before external review.

External Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent to qualified reviewers with appropriate expertise.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:

• Originality
• Scientific and methodological rigor
• Relevance to the journal
• Quality of analysis
• Clarity of presentation
• Contribution to knowledge
• Appropriate use of references
• Ethical considerations

Editorial Decision

Following peer review, the editor may decide to:

• Accept the manuscript
• Request minor revisions
• Request major revisions
• Reject the manuscript

Authors may be required to respond to reviewer comments and revise their manuscripts before a final decision is made.
